PS 102 PTA is proud to bring our community so many wonderful and diverse events—but we can’t do it without YOU! By joining a committee, you’ll help bring events to life from start to finish. It truly takes a village, and the more volunteers we have, the more we can create together. Have a NEW idea for an event? Share it with the committee or board—we’d love to make it happen!
*Handle school merchandise and snack sales during PTA events
*Help with Visual & Performing Art events
*Plan, book, & help execute school assemblies for students
*Review the PTA budget and expenses at end of year, as per Chancellor & PTA regulations
*Plan, schedule, and run a fun family community event at Alpine Cinemas, 2-to-4 times per school year!
*Plan & execute related events: Parent Mixer, PS 102 Clothing Swap, Artisan Markets, etc.
*Plan & execute related events: Day of the Dead, Winter celebrations, International Fair, Chinese New Year, Iftar, EID, etc.
*Plan & execute related events: Autism Awareness, Women's History, Black History, Pride, Juneteenth, etc.
*Plan, book, & help execute Family Fun Fridays: Chess/Gameboard nights, Yoga nights, Sports Nights, Art nights, etc
*Help plan events and fundraisers for the 5th grade class and graduation.
*Help tend the PS 102 garden and plan/execute fun events!
*Volunteer during picture days throughout the calendar year (roughly 4 days).
*Plan, book, & help execute our beloved plant sale
*Plan & execute related events: Book fairs, Read-A-Louds, Read-A-Thon fundraiser, and Book Donations
*Plan & execute related events: Welcome Back Breakfast, Holiday Breakfast, Teacher Appreciation Week, & more!
*Plan, book, & help execute our BIGGEST in-school fundraiser!
